Active Interest Media currently has an opening for a Customer Service Representative. Responsibilities include answering Customer Service phone calls daily, becoming familiar with software programs and products in order to efficiently assist all callers, and responding to emails in between calls.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Handles subscription & product calls quickly and efficiently and become knowledgeable of our product line and current product system
  • Assists callers with problems on orders, such as missing or damaged items, etc.
  • Assists callers with subscription questions and concerns and corrects the problem if applicable. This includes address changes, replacements, renewals, refunds, payments, new orders, etc.
  • Assists customers with general technical questions involving cooking, gardening, writing, and woodworking, etc. Includes servicing online accounts including plans, classes, memberships, libraries, etc.
  • Becomes familiar and utilize upsell and cancel/save programs. Assist with processing incoming mail.
  • Answers emails involving a variety of concerns about subscriptions and products.
  • Other projects and assignments as needed

Professional demeanor is a must for all positions at Active Interest Media. In addition to courteous, friendly, businesslike behavior, the following qualifications are fundamental to this position.

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience
  • Able to read and understand basic documents and able to respond to common inquires and complaints from customers via phone or email
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to define problems and draw conclusions from information given
  • Must be a team player
  • Basic computer and phone skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to inquires in a timely manner
  • High attention to detail
